Gold and Diamond Cufflinks
Deco Diamonds! |
|
Antique white gold cufflinks featuring dramatic floral and cruciform motifs above a field of concentric circles. The edges are embellished with flame scrolls (or acanthus leaves) at the canted corners with elongated Greek key designs in between. One side is set with a small diamond. A nice example of the effusive Art Deco designs of the 1920s. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
![]() The backs of the cufflinks are crafted in 14kt white gold and polished to a mirror-like finish. (Please excuse the reflections from the camera.) The cufflinks are connected with sturdy cross bars and brackets. The cross bars are stamped "14K" for the purity of the gold. To the right of the gold mark is a second mark that appears to be a reversed "R" next to a "B". This may be the maker's mark of Basset Jewelry Company, makers of fine gold and silver jewelry during the early 20th century. Name: Deco Diamonds! ![]()
